Where Have All the Cowboys Gone - Paula Cole

A scornful woman making country music deserves to be a genre of its own.

It feels like the lyricism and tone of "Before He Cheats" but with the vocals of Hikaru Utada (Simple and Clean). What a fun blend.

Simple And Clean - Hikaru Utada

Which reminds me... This fucks. I really need to get back and play Kingdom Hearts.

Tailwind - Backtalk

Very underrated contribution to the hardcore scene; I only managed to find them while making a meme playlist. It's got a nice blend between screaming verses and a melodic chorus, a mark that a lot of bands actually struggle to hit.

It's got all that going for it and also manages to cut deep with strong lyrics. Good song!

Golden Hour - Kacey Muskgraves

Nothing - Student1

I based a lot of my identity from 2016 - 2019 around "being a good academic" and struggling without much money or support.

Student1 touches on this in a chill rap song with some killer lyricism; apologies for the opposite/adjacent.

Dear Theodosia - Aaron Burr ft. Lil Hammy

It might sound like hyperbole but I never considered the idea of being a parent until I heard this song. I knew kids brought joy to your world or whatever but I didn't really "get it" until I listened to this.
